Why is WSD closing down one of the top performing schools in the district? Columbia school is located in the heart of our city and has been in operation for 100 years!This school is also home to one of our most vulnerable populations AND they don't even have the lowest enrollment!

Together, we can make a difference. We are raising our voices and making ourselves heard. We urge the School Board and our community members alike to intervene and demand that the WSD reconsider the closure of Columbia Elementary. Our children deserve better. WHAT WE'RE DOING
At Columbia Elementary School, parents and teachers have uniting to craft a sustainable and practical solution to the prospect of overcrowding schools. We've developed a comprehensive plan that ensures the continuation of our beloved schools. We believe that continuously burdening the same vulnerable segments of our community for the greater good is unjust and discriminatory. Instead, we're paving a path forward that distributes responsibility equitably and fosters a sustainable future for all. Join us as we embark on this journey towards inclusive and resilient education.
